Camp Menogyn Dog Sledding and Winter Sports - $525.00

Enjoy the solitude and beauty of one of Minnesota’s most scenic landscapes, the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness in winter. The group will stay in cabins and enjoy the beautiful lodge of YMCA Camp Menogyn. From this basecamp, participants will venture out on day excursions cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and dog sledding. Other activities include spending time by the fireplace in the lodge, building a quinzee snow shelter, and spending time in the sauna with the option to jump into the lake through a hole in the ice for the full experience. The trip includes 11 meals prepared by the expert cooks at Camp Menogyn.

Trips and Clinic Information
Price includes all personal gear, such as a backpack, sleeping bag, and sleeping pad, as well as group equipment such as tents, cooking equipment, climbing equipment, and canoeing equipment. All you need is your own personal items, clothing and food. We will shop for food as a group, so the cost for food on trail is between $10 and $15 a day. Also provided are 2 trained student trip leaders, transportation, and all necessary permits and fees.

Refund-Cancellation Policy
A full refund will be given only if the Center for Outdoor Adventure cancels a trip due to lack of registration, weather, or other extenuating circumstances. Day trip and clinic participants will receive a 50% refund only if he/she cancels 7 days prior to the event date. Day trip and clinic registrations are non-refundable if a participant cancels fewer than 7 days prior to the event date. Multi-day trip participants will receive a 50% refund if he/she cancels 7 days prior to the scheduled pre-trip meeting date. Multi-day trip registrations are non-refundable if a participant cancels fewer than 7 days prior to the scheduled pre-trip meeting date.
